Our team fitted record volumes of windows in the worst of conditions, leaving our clients delighted. Fortunately this winter has been somewhat easier for them to date. So long as we give them the right equipment, support and a warm uniform to work in, they will deliver.
It has been almost two years of often “painful process”, but it is now in its final phase. It incorporates new remote pricing software to replace our existing RAMPs pricing system, with associated customer management, manufacturing, stock and accounting modules which will allow us to operate from “quotation to invoice” through one system.

We hope that once bedded in it will be a huge step forward in efficiency and allow us to put down more stable roots for further growth.

Did you know that The Sash Window Workshop makes and installs well over £1m per year of best quality, bespoke doors. Including front doors, french doors and sliding folding doors? It seems to be a bit of a secret we haven’t been telling people. Even some of our customers ask “do you do doors?”. We have definitely “missed a trick” somehwere and need to put things right, as our doors are made to the highest standards and we believe they are simply the best available.

In response to popular demand, as from January 2012 we will be launching new range of “Classic” doors. This range will include about 15 -20 different classic “London” front door designs, a range of simple but elegant french doors and some standard sliding folding designs. These "Classic" designs should suit most of our customers and will of course come measured, painted, glazed and fitted by our own fully employed fitting staff, all with The Sash Window Workshop’s outstanding customer service, long term warranties and after sales service.

Of course if there isn’t a pattern that suits you, we will always tailor something to your exact specification, like we have been doing for the past 18 years, without telling anyone!

It really important that when buying windows people really do look at what they are getting for their money, we all know that quality costs, but generally delivers a return in the long term.

At The Sash Window Workshop we think it is even more important than ever to drive home the message to our clients that they need to look at several key factors when making a purchasing decision on traditional windows. They are, quality of timber and window build, aesthetic appearance (some traditional windows are simply not in keeping), warranties, quality of after sale service, fitting standards and the performance of the windows (our Classic range of windows are all “A” rated) . It goes without saying that the financial stability of the company is also of paramount importance during these difficult times, just recently two of our competitors have ceased trading.

We would rather encourage our clients to buy little and often if budgets are tight and phase purchase over years than look for a substandard product elsewhere, that may not last or don’t look right. If anyone wants some free advice on traditional timber windows and what to look for, please contact us at info@sashwindow.com.

It’s very important for us to look after them, last winter The Sash Window Workshop fitting team, fitted over £2.5m of windows through snow and ice and all the treacherous conditions nature threw at us, we only missed 3 confirmed installation dates for our customers, which we caught up very quickly. On some occasions we had to tow the vans to our client's homes!

It follows the traditional style of windows and doors that you love; however, it is manufactured using the latest technology to improve the quality of the windows and doors as well as improvements in terms of security, heating and noise pollution. Therefore, from the classic range you can obtain the established, majestic appearance with all the qualities you would expect from a modern design of windows and doors.

Designed to add charm and character to period properties and meet the need of their discerning owners, the bespoke range of windows and doors includes a variety of styles including box sash windows, casement windows, bays and even ‘one off’ feature windows. Each window in the range is tailor-made to measure and professionally painted, featuring high quality glazing, sustainable wood and top specification security fittings.

The Sash Window Workshop is proud to present the ‘Classic’ range and we are certain you will be impressed by the high quality timber and the glass which we have perfected specially for our windows.

The ‘Classic’ range crushes qualms customers usually have about the prospect of purchasing sash windows. We understand that customers are usually deterred by the questionable noise filters or security. Therefore, with the ‘Classic’ range, we have now upgraded all our windows, so there should be no stopping you. Sash windows and doors add great value and quality to your property. Invest in your home today!
