Did you know that The Sash Window Workshop makes and installs well over £1m per year of best quality, bespoke doors. Including front doors, french doors and sliding folding doors? It seems to be a bit of a secret we haven’t been telling people. Even some of our customers ask “do you do doors?”. We have definitely “missed a trick” somehwere and need to put things right, as our doors are made to the highest standards and we believe they are simply the best available.
In response to popular demand, as from January 2012 we will be launching new range of “Classic” doors. This range will include about 15 -20 different classic “London” front door designs, a range of simple but elegant french doors and some standard sliding folding designs. These "Classic" designs should suit most of our customers and will of course come measured, painted, glazed and fitted by our own fully employed fitting staff, all with The Sash Window Workshop’s outstanding customer service, long term warranties and after sales service.
Of course if there isn’t a pattern that suits you, we will always tailor something to your exact specification, like we have been doing for the past 18 years, without telling anyone!

The Sash Window Workshop uses high quality Accoya timber for our windows and doors. Accoya wood is the world leading solution to tropical hardwood. Now, you may think that means nothing to you but tropical hardwood has been used for centuries because of its impressive durability. Now you see, by using Accoya for windows and doors we are making the best economical choice for you, so whilst it’s raining on your ‘extra durable windows’ you are subconsciously saving for a rainy day!
What makes the timber even more special is that our windows and doors are made right here in our workshop in Bracknell, Berkshire by our highly skilled workers so it emulates home grown goodness. Yet another unwavering quality of Accoya for windows and doors is that it is also dimensionally stable so there is no danger of the once gloriously furnished exterior of your house changing into a lopsided, modern art wannabe. Accoya wood is tried and tested to ensure the shrinking and swelling is reduced by 75%.
Furthermore, Accoya is environmentally friendly. Yes that’s right, your house can look good and you will feel good for it. It is manufactured using a non-toxic treatment and fast growing timber from sustainable sources. So not only can you feel environmentally sound by purchasing Accoya windows and doors but you can feel this way for 50 years! Above ground the wood will most certainly last for this amount of time and below ground Accoya still lasts 25 years. The wood is protected by a rot and insect barrier and is indigestible to insects and microorganisms. Perfect! No bugs to munch away your latest windows and doors investment.
And if that is not enough qualities to get you excited about our Accoya wood, windows and doors, there is more! Accoya possesses fantastic thermal insulation qualities. The windows and doors from The Sash Window Workshop are beautiful to open in the summer and ideal to keep you warm and toasty in the winter months.
However, our personal favourite at The Sash Window Workshop is that the appearance of the windows and doors lasts longer than other types of wood. Accoya wood has a superior resistance to UV to avoid faded and aged appearances and it is coated in translucent substance for extra protection.
